LB Parties- Cinderella Sewing Birthday Party ๐๐งต๐ญ๐ฆ๐งน๐ฅฟ
It's time for another LEMON BABY PARTY!!!! This time we are doing probably my FAV party I have thrown for my daughter- her Cinderella "2 Never Looked 'Sew' Cute" Birthday Party. ๐๐งต๐ญ๐ฆ๐งน๐ฅฟ
We went with Cinderella because my daughter loved her and OBVI- she is the second Disney Princess. I've talked before about how I don't like to throw any "hokie" parties with the kinds of decorations from the party stores. Why? Well, 1- they are usually pretty cheesy and not what is capturing my "vision" for the party. 2- Kind of goes with #1, but I'm a weirdo and like to have a theme within a theme, so can't really find that in the ready-made stuff. 3- A lot of the pre-made decorations have the prince involved and I don't want ANY hint of romance in a party for a baby or a child. There's just no room for that. Childhood needs to be about innocence and fun, and I think you can capture that without including any romance elements. That might sound "over-the-top", and I'm sure no one would notice if I included the princes for these parties, but for some reason it bothers me, so there ya go.
I started planning this party a year in advance. I LOVE the scene in Cinderella where the cute little mice and birds are busy sewing her mother's pink dress, so that became the theme of our party- "2 Never Looked 'Sew' Cute".
I was inspired by this adorable book- Cinderella's Friends :
The beautiful cover of this book- Cinderella Little Golden Book
And this adorable vintage Cinderella book- Cinderella's Busy Birthday
I wanted to use colors inspired by these books and that iconic scene.
I spent that year buying WDCC figurines, collecting party decorations, purchasing things from EBay, Etsy, Amazon, Hobby Lobby, etc., and of course made her a costume and a doll to match for her party. I made the Cinderella ballerina doll using the same pattern I had used for Snow White. I made the dress by purchasing a pink and white dress from EBay and adding pink ribbon and lace trim to turn it into Cinderella's dress. ๐
I also bought this silicone mold and this lollipop mold , used white chocolate melts that had been dyed, and flavored, and made party favor button lollipops and sewing cupcake toppers. So cute! ๐งต
For a present for my daughter, I purchased this set. Kind of pricey, but her face LIT UP and it went PERFECTLY with our theme!
The set-up for the party was simple, but my FAVORITE to date! I bought plastic tablecloths and the #2 golden balloon from Zurchers, and created a backdrop, table covering, and main decor for the dessert table.
I purchased this pumpkin water dispenser to serve our "Bippidi Boppidi Water", these paper cups, these straws, and I got these milk bottle glasses from Target.
I purchased this dress form and these tape measures for that "sewing room" feel.
I purchased this fairy godmother in a set off of Ebay (the set included this dress form), these pearls, this WDCC figurine of Cinderella's sewing book from Ebay, and this WDCC figurine of Suzy the Mouse from Ebay as decor.
I made the sewing cake toppers using white chocolate melts and a sewing silicone mold (see above), made the " Leave The Sewin' To The Women" cupcakes using rainbow chip cake mix, made homemade blue buttercream frosting (recipe to come), and I purchased these other WDCC figurines.
The cake...๐ณ๐ณ๐ณ...The cake was a test against my OCD. My daughter REALLY wanted to help decorate her own cake that year, so I let her, and while it looks a little bit of a mess, she LOVED helping and it was an awesome bonding experience! Again, it was a rainbow chip cake, with rainbow chip frosting in between the layers, and pink buttercream on the outside. I got this cute little Cinderella as a cake topper, and the mice in the sewing basket off of EBay.
And last, but not least- our gift tables in the cute little pastels that matched my color scheme. Nothing fancy, but I LOVE the balloons (don't mind the wind blowing them like crazy).
And that is the end of our "Cinderella- 2 Never Looked 'Sew' Cute" Party! Hope you enjoyed!

We had our "Trimmin' Cookies", as in " You Go Get Some Trimmin'" -see what I did there? ๐
I purchased some white carnations to add some "freshness" to the table, the Cinderella sewing basket snow globe from eBay, the bird WDCC, and this Chalk Mouse WDCC, along with one of the books that inspired me (see above) for decor.
I made "Pumpkin Trail Mix" and put it in these cute little cups for the kids, along with these adorable little birds I found on EBay.
Here is the recipe for "Pumpkin Trail Mix":
I set up my daughter's little kitchen set (vintage from when I was a little girl), outside with this tea set, and this beautiful little wooden sewing set I found on EBay (I think someone made it), this Cinderella jewelry box (found at estate sale) with all sorts of beads in it, this play food set, this little play cleaning set , and this little kitchen toy so that the kids could play like they were Cinderella and her friends doing all of the chores.
Here is the little "china hutch" that I added some bubble favors to with little fairy wands to remind the kids of when Cinderella is singing with the bubbles.

My favorite game/activity of the entire party was for the kids to go through our garden, pick a mini pumpkin, and paint it for the ball.
